Job Purpose

To develop and deliver credit risk models and lending strategies. To provide client consultations for Credit Risk/Decision Science engagements, including proof of concept tests, model and product development, portfolio profiling, risk and trend analysis. To closely support the sales team in order to understand client needs and provide viable solutions.


  • Develops and validates credit risk models
  • Designs and implements lending strategies
  • Acts as an analytical consultant for complex client deliveries/implementations
  • Leads/executes analytical projects from solution development and data integrity evaluation through to solution documentation and implementation
  • Collaborates with internal and external clients to determine the appropriate analysis parameters and performance measures to be applied, as well as the requirements for decision tool and strategy implementation and monitoring
  • Analyzes and interprets results to identify trends or issues and recommends alternatives to support business objectives
  • Supports analytical and data product / services development, including the enhancement of current processes and offerings
  • Identifies and secures additional opportunities with clients
  • Closely supports the sales team
  • Leads business development efforts and supports product development, management, and marketing initiatives to fuel revenue growth
  • Interacts with a global team of highly trained and skilled colleagues, including project managers, statisticians, and analysts
  • Participates in internally and externally sponsored speaking engagements


  • At least 3+ years of experience in the financial industry / risk management or in statistical modeling / data analysis
  • Statistical modeling / data analysis experience including data manipulation practice (R, Python, SAS or similar tools)
  • Credit decision strategy and policy setting skills
  • In depth knowledge of analytical techniques and decision tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability gather and analyze business requirements
  • Project experience – a proven track record in leading project teams and managing complex analytical projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills needed to present both internal stakeholders and to our clients
  • A degree in finance, economics or statistics is preferred
  • Knowledge of SQL is an advantage
  • Excellent English is a must. French, Arabic or Spanish is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel
